Solar Electron Proton Telescope

CAU IEAP NASA STP STEREO Welcome to the home of the Solar Electron Proton Telescope (SEPT) at the Institut für Experimentelle und Angewandte Physik, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel, Germany.

A pair of space probes called STEREO will be launched in 2005, as part of NASA's Solar Terrestrial Probes Program (STP). STEREO is supposed to observe solar events with a stereometric view from two points in earth-like orbits around the sun. SEPT is part of the instrument for In-situ Measurements of Particles and CME Transients (IMPACT) onboard STEREO.
